History

The German Institute of Hearing Aids (Deutsches Hörgeräte Institut, DHI) was founded in 1998 by Reimer Rohweder. At this time, the testing of hearing instruments was transfered from the Physikalisch Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) in Braunschweig to the German Institute of Hearing Aids. Under the direction of Mr. Rohweder the institute became an established test house for hearing aids not only in Germany but also throughout Europe. As successor of Mr. Rohweder, Dr. Hendrik Husstedt has joined the German Institute of Hearing Aids in 2014.
