Scope of application

The DGUC testing principle defines requirements and test procedures for hearing aids to be used with a hearing protection earpiece in noisy environments. The requirements and test procedures for the hearing aids is mainly relevant for manufacturers and test houses. On the other hand, the testing principle also defines requirements for the fitting and dispensing, which are relevant for hearing care professionals that perform fitting of hearing aids for the use in noisy environments. The testing principle can be downoaded freely from the DGUV.

Scope of testing

Testing in our house comprises the following sections of the testing principle:

  • DGUV 312-002, chapter 4 - Design of hearing aids for use in noisy environments
  • DGUV 312-002, chapter 5 - Necessary manufacturer's information for hearing aids for use in noisy environments
  • DGUV 312-002, chapter 6 - Testing of hearing aids for use in noisy environments
